Good idea but not the best user interface - hard for kids to advance to next word - why not advance automatically after correct answer? Also, glossy fx on the letters make it hard for children to read. Stars are a nice touch once a few right answers are obtained. Overall good game, just minor UI issues.

Colorful and good interface. My soon-to-be 7-year old daughter finds it too easy. My 3-year old son is not quite ready for it. Look like it is more ideal for 4-6 year old kids. It needs a level option like for longer words or multi-letter fill in...etc

The rewards are perfect!!! This app couldnt be better!!!

The volume when the word is first spoken is too low to hear. The reward volume seems fine though. Hopefully this can be addressed in an update.

Please fix the recorded volume of the two voices. The words are pronounced so quietly and yet the childs voice giving praise is incredibly loud.

This is a terrific App. Good variety and engaging for my two kids. It definitely fits the K and 1st grade kids that its designed for. Id really love to see a version that takes kids to the next grade levels - 2nd and 3rd..... Maybe, longer words and more varied vocabulary.

This app is the best. My son is learning to read and being able to play to find the begining and ending sound is great and it is a concept being taught to him in kindergarten. My 3 year old loves it too. Makes me want to have iPhones for each one of them!

My kindergartner loves this application, I think it is a very good idea to have kids fill in either beginning, middle or finishing sounds. There is a lot of room for improvement: I wish you did not always have to choose beginning, middle or finishing sounds, so that any of those could be presented randomly as an option. More words are definitely needed, and also longer words. It would also be good that the word be spoken when you get it right, or even before you get it right as an option or a hint.

My 4 year old loves this app. He actually asks to play it often. Only problem is, we need more words, please!

My 4.5 yr old daughter loves this game, she is having lots of fun as well learning at the same time. Thanks for making learning fun:)

Keeps him busy for awhile ( ok maybe 5 minutes at a time!). The only educational ap Ive downloaded so far but Ill give it 4 stars overall.

In addition to more words as suggested by others, I would suggest that there be an option for hearing the phonetic sounds of the wrong answers instead of the oops try again. Then the child can learn to associate the sounds with the letters which will aid in spelling. But other all a good spelling app for the early reader.

My 4 year old got bored after a few minutes. There is not enough difference in the words spoken after choosing a letter. Kids need to know they have it right. This app says almost the same thing in the same tone for correct and incorrect answers. Change that and it might keep the attention longer.

Since i downloaded, my daughter has been playing and she loves it. I am also happy that she is learning. Great job..!

My daughter, 5, is going into kindergarten this fall and loves this app. She used to be hooked on Easy Math but now likes this more. You can change whether the work is missing the first last or middle letters and the updates keeps adding more words. I was shocked yesterday when she spelled purple. She told me she learned it from my phone. I am convinced this is one of the best apps for early childhood learning. Easy Math, and iArcade with the memory matching game are two others that come to mind. Anyway Id give this one six stars if I could.

Well done! Great educational game! I like how you can choose which letter is missing (beginning, middle, or end). You can also choose to have it all in caps, if you want to. My daughter loves this game. I like the developers chose to use a childs voice to say the word. I think children perfer that over hearing an adults voice. My only suggestion would be to even out the sound. The voice is very quiet when saying the word and too loud when congratulating. Minor thing that I hope gets fixed in an update. Highly recommend this game for kids!

Nice game for kids. Awesome graphics and a pleasing kids voice sounding the words out. My 5 year old enjoyed it very much.
